Some Questions Answered
Q: How do I book?
A: Firstly check the availability calendar to see if your preferred dates are available. If you have any special requirements or wish to ask any questions before you decide to book then you can email us via the 'Contact Us' page. Once you have made the decision to book then complete the Booking Form which can be found on the 'Book Online' page and submit it to us. You will automatically be directed to the Deposit payment page whereby you can either pay your deposit by Credit or Debit card by clicking on the Paypal Checkout button or by sending a cheque to the address shown on that page. When the payment has been processed we will contact you to confirm your booking!
Q: How do I get to your gîte?
A: Click on the "Get Directions" section of our Directions & Weather page. By entering your postcode or town you will automatically be given the best route to us here in Southwest France by Google maps. In addition our GPS co-ordinates for use with satellite navigation systems can be found on the same page.
Q: What is the security deposit for?
A: A security deposit of €300 per rental period is payable upon arrival, either in cash or by credit card. It is required in case of, for example, damage to the property or its contents during your stay. If there are no damages to the property or the contents then the deposit will be refunded in full within 7 days following the end of the rental period. Q: Is the pool supervised?
A: No the pool is not supervised but does have adequate security measures. These do not however replace the necessity for a responsible sober adult to supervise their children at all times.
Q: Can we book out of the main season?
A: Yes you can book out of season. Firstly check that the dates are not already booked by using the availability calendar on the Prices & Availability page and then email us for competitive prices and extended stay offers.
Q: When is the balance of the holiday due?
A: The outstanding balance is due not less than eight weeks before departure. An invoice will be sent to you, together with any other information that you may require.
Q: Are there any other holiday makers in gites on your property?
A: Absolutely not. La Vieille Source is the only gîte on the property. You will be the only clients staying and as such have sole use of all the amenities, with the exception of the pool, which you are invited to share with the owners who may wish to swim. The owners who live on site in the manor house are always happy to help, but will fully respect their guests’ privacy.
